Procurement Notice: Invitation for Business Opportunity Seminar

The Ministry of Water Supply, Government of Nepal, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) would like to invite interested contractors and consulting firms to attend (in-person and online) project specific business opportunity workshop for the Second Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project on 27 June 2024. Project information will be presented during the workshop to international and national contractors, suppliers and consulting firms and participants will be offered an opportunity to engage with the implementing agencies and ADB on project related procurement.
Government of Nepal, with support from ADB, proposes to implement the Second Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project at a total project cost estimated at $240 million. The indicative contract packages under the project are given below.

The main objectives of organizing the business opportunity workshop are to:

- Present the project, procurement, and planning aspects of the contracts;
- Discuss approaches to technical and contractual aspects to maximize interest from potential relevant international and national bidders; and improve competition and increase the likelihood of the success of the bidding process,
- Enhance prospective bidders’ understanding of the ADB procurement rules and procedures and qualification requirements of individual packages,
- Respond to queries and concerns shared by interested parties.
Interested parties are also welcome to raise questions and provide market inputs during the workshop.
